SANTORINI – DAY TWO

Square

Seeing as we still had the quad bike we headed up from Imoverigli to Oia to see what all the fuss is about in this stunning village.

The stunning bell towers of Oia are easy to find if you just follow the hoards of tourists but I have to admit I do enjoy being a tourist and the views were so worth it. There is a path along the top of the village which makes it easy to walk even if was busy and bustling.

Stopping off to rest our weary feet at the Saint George Church was a quiet little haven away from the packed narrow streets and we were even lucky enough to spot the famous donkeys walking down their path.

After a quick pit stop to change and refresh we headed over to the Byzantine Castle Ruins which is the world famous spot to watch a stunning sunset. As you can see we weren’t the only ones who wanted to catch a glimpse. It really is an amazing view and I loved looking back and see these masses of people all waiting to watch the natural beauty the island offers.
